PASSING $225 MILLION IN SALES, PACSYS CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF INDUSTRY PARTICIPATION

After leaving senior management positions at manroland in 1996 Mike McGuinness and Klaus Dietel stuck their necks out to start PacSys, Packaging Systems Solutions (Mystic, CT) filling a need they had identified to offer complete system solutions (splice, print, cut, stack, automate, delivery/handling, measure quality) for the packaging print production industry.

Focusing on cost to produce (CTP) economics PacSys, over the next 20 years, became a significant supplier to major folding carton producers and along the way, introduced several new technologies, products and suppliers, many from Europe, to the North American packing industry.

A majority of their $225 Million sales since 1996 have been to paperboard packaging printers/converters operating wide and narrow web flexo offset press presses, PacSys also has introduced many new material handling, vision inspection, color measurement and web cleaning technologies for web and sheetfed offset carton, flexible packaging and shrink sleeve label converters.
